Rollyo

http://www.rollyo.com/bookworm_kelley/

I think this tool is very interesting, and something that I never even knew existed. I see so much potential in using this, not only in my personal life but in my job as well. It would definitely make searching for answers much quicker and easier. It was neat clicking through other people's rolls, and was a lot of fun making my own.

A thing about LibraryThing

I REALLY enjoyed looking around this site and adding books to my library. I will most definitely use this site more when I have more time to spend on it. I like that it allows you to find other readers who have similar tastes and look at their libraries to see what they've read. There also seems to be some very interesting groups that could also be a great resource for reading recommendations.

Playing around with image generators

Oh my, this has opened up Pandora's Box for me. I will be using these a LOT from now on. :)

Finding RSS News Feeds (#9)

Before these lessons, I had heard of RSS feeds but new absolutely nothing about them. This has been such an exciting thing to learn about. I can't believe I've gone all this time checking each of my sites individually to see if there was new material posted on it. I had no clue that there was a way to have those sites checked FOR me. I also very much enjoyed searching for RSS feeds to add to my Bloglines account. There were so many to choose from! This has been a great lesson that I will most definitely use in my every day life.

Blog About Technology

I can't imagine my life WITHOUT technology, and it makes me so excited that it advances at such mind-boggling speeds. I have had a computer since I was little, and it has been such a useful tool for so many things. I feel fairly proficient with certain aspects, but am by no means close to "expert". I enjoy learning more about technology and how it can benefit my every day life. I'm also trying to instill that excitement in my Mom, who finds all this new technology very frustrating.

Picking through Picasa

As instructed, I began searching through the images on Picasa to find pictures that jump out at me. This was a LOT of fun for me because as a photographer myself, I spend a lot of time looking through other's photos. I'll limit myself here to only a select few, as I can literally spend HOURS blissfully browsing through photos.

I have a soft spot in my heart for photographing flowers (which I spend a great deal of time doing), so instead of searching through everyone else's favorites I decided to click on the tag "Flowers" and see what came up. This image grabbed me almost immediately. The composition is very interesting. Instead of shooting the flowers that most people normally would (from the top, of one of the flowers) this person chose a different angle.

Another incredible flower shot, and in a format that I love and intend to work on myself (black and white photography). This shot, to me, is very reminiscent of Ansel Adams.

Then, there's this one. What can be said about this that the picture doesn't already say for itself. Incredibly powerful journalistic/editorial style image. Something that I strive to achieve more of myself in the future.

7 1/2 Habits

I found this video to be very inspiring! For me, the easiest habit is "Play". I wouldn't be surprised if everyone picked this for the easiest habit to follow. The most difficult habit for me to follow would be "View problems as challenges." I often get very frustrated and discouraged when problems arise. I know this is something I need to work on.
