Blog About Technology

I can't imagine my life WITHOUT technology, and it makes me so excited that it advances at such mind-boggling speeds. I have had a computer since I was little, and it has been such a useful tool for so many things. I feel fairly proficient with certain aspects, but am by no means close to "expert". I enjoy learning more about technology and how it can benefit my every day life. I'm also trying to instill that excitement in my Mom, who finds all this new technology very frustrating.

  1. It's very easy to become overwhelmed by technology, but I think a good analogy is driving a car: initially, we didn't know how to do it but once we received some hands-on training, we mastered it. The car is complex & most of us have no idea how half the stuff under the hood works (we tend to rely on the "experts" to worry about its guts), but we don't let ourselves get stressed out about what we don't know. We have learned how to master particular tasks with the car & have become quite content with them.

  2. I am very proud of Kelley's thirst for knowledge of all types. She is an avid photographer and reader and is very proficient with the technology needed in both fields. She has been a source of inspiration for me in my quest for technology knowledge, even though I'm sure she often gets as frustrated with me as I do with what I'm trying to learn. She is a patient teacher/mentor and I appreciate all her assistance and mostly her patience.
